Dragon Age Inquisition was an exciting game and plenty of fans are eagerly awaiting the release of
Dragon Age 4. Fans are perhaps waiting to dive into this fantasy universe, but there is some bad news in
store. Fans will have to wait a bit before they can lay their hands on this game. It was announced a few
years ago, but you will still have to wait. 
Sources in the gaming fraternity tell us that Dragon Age 4 from Bioware can be expected to only arrive
before its next Mass Effect game. It is a long wait considering that seven years have gone by since the
release of Dragon Age Inquisition. The source of information is a news report and the details in the report
state that it will be two more years before fans can lay hands on the RPG. 
A report published by Jeff Grubb at VentureBeat says with conviction that the game is sure to be out in
2023. There could always be some pending setbacks in the development timeline, but as of now, that is
the deadline the development team has set. We also spoke to EA but they could not confirm any sort of
window for the game. 
There surely has to be some reason for this long delay and we checked out a bit. A part of the reasons can
be attributed to the sudden change in direction of the project. There were more reasons and earlier this
year EA made a sudden announcement to remove all multiplayer from the game. This could have ditched
live-service elements, which were intended to keep players engaged with Dragon Age 4 post its launch.
This was done post the failure of Anthem and the success of other single-player EA projects. A notable
among them was Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. 
The Dragon Age 4 is mostly kept under wraps and the makers intend to present a big surprise for fans.
The project will be set in Tevinter and there will be some returning characters. This is the information,
which is known in the public domain. The development team preparing this game is still using the
Frostbite engine, which has been used for a large number of EA games over the last generation. This
engine is originally designed for first-person shooters, but it should prove its value here. The wait for this
game could extend for two more years, but it should be exciting as it releases in 2023.
