The original Space Jam was released way back in 1996 and it was one of the best works of Joe Pytka. It is
after so many years the focus is back on Joe and it has been a bit controversial. There has been a brand
new sequel, Space Jam: A New Legacy and he shared his views on the film. He was very blunt in his
statement and says that very little of it was nice.
Our sources picked up that during the interview Joe required five separate sessions to go through the two
runtimes of Space Jam: A New Legacy. He cites plenty of issues and including LeBron James as a
celebrity. He recalls when the initial film hit the theaters, the lead actor Michael Jordan was the biggest
celebrity. On the contrary, he describes LeBron as an accomplished athlete. He bluntly states that LeBron
isn’t Michael and the movie has not done enough to connect Space Jam with LeBron’s own life. He had
done this in the original film.
Joe had to say more and mentioned that the cast in the original film was much superior to the remake. He
had special words for actors Charles Barkley and Bill Murray in the original film. He also considers the
original soundtrack a classic and says that the soundtrack for the remake is just not up to the mark.
He was harshly critical of Bugs Bunny and compares the new version to one of those fluffy dolls. He says
that it looks like a product, which you buy at the airport gift shop. He is heartbroken about the bug’s role
in this remake. He says that the treatment for bugs in the original Space Jam was completely different. In
the original movie, his take on Bugs reflected previous iterations of the character. He finds it completely
    missing here.
This is a dampener for fans who were eagerly waiting for this movie with much enthusiasm. However,
your channel stumbled upon an interesting piece of information. We found out that even the original
Space Jam was panned by critics. Even to this date, the original version has a 44% critic rating and 63%
audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. In the case of the remake, this figure hovers around close to 28%
& 81% respectively. One can see that there is a clear division between critics and moviegoers this time.
You can always watch the movie and then make a statement.
