Experienced teams dominated the first day of the Upthrust Esports Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGMI) Challengers Showdown Semi Finals. On the first day of the competition, Global Esports' seasoned squad proved to be the most reliable. forth the first day of the Semi Finals, a few more teams, like Medal Esports, Enigma Gaming, Entity Gaming, and iQOO Soul, also put forth strong performances. 

Twenty-four teams will square off for a berth in the Grand Finals at the Upthrust Esports Challengers Showdown Season 2 Semi Finals.

After Day 1 of the Semi Finals, Global Esports takes the lead

On the first day of the Semi Finals, Global Esports, with their experienced roster, was the most consistent and finished first on the table. With 25 of those points coming from finishes, the team's aggressive play allowed them to score 41 points in all, along with one chicken supper. In addition to putting up strong fighting and winning 41 points and one chicken meal, iQOO Soul came in second.

Enigma Gaming's next team finished third with 36 points and one meal of chicken. Entity Gaming finished in fourth place with 32 points, 23 of which came from finishes, and demonstrated aggressive gaming in every match. Medal Esports received 30 points for finishing fifth and one meal of chicken. With 28 points apiece, Team 8Bit, GenxFM Esports, and Godlike Esports finished sixth, seventh, and eighth. The first day of the Semi Finals saw Team 8Bit also score a chicken meal.
